Jules Chéret Museum of Fine Arts – Entrance

From 29 September 2025, the Museum of Fine Arts will be closed to prepare for its new exhibition Maurice Denis, the 1920s.
From 23 October to 8 November 2025, only the ground floor gallery will remain open to the public.

The museum was inaugurated in 1928 in the Kotschoubey-Thomson villa, a fine example of 19th-century neo-classical architecture. Its collections cover a broad spectrum of art history, from the 12th to the 20th century.
The painting, sculpture and graphic art collections date from the 12th to the 20th century. They include Flemish painting from the 17th century, and French sculpture and painting from the 18th to the 20th century: Vanloo, Fragonard, Dufy, Chéret, the Barbizon School, Bronzino, Gustave-Adolphe Mossa, Rodin and Carpeaux.
